Anxiety and Job Hunting
Thank you for yesterday. It really helped. I received this email this morning...they offered me the contract. I will try to be more hopeful and stop attacking myself. Thank you so much for all you have done to support me over the years. For your patience and your professional brilliance. Wouldn't be here without you. - SJ

Managing chronic health condition
Dear Veronica I would like to thank you for so much for all your listening advice and guidance of how I should deal with my issues. I feel I am ready to stop our conversation. Reason being that I am in a much better place now, mentally. I have resolved most of my mental problems and no longer suffer symptoms I cannot manage. I now know who to turn to (you) in the future should I experience a relapse. I would like to thank you! - HJ

Fertility problems

Relationship difficulties
Thank you for all your support you have given me in the last year. I have learned so much about myself and my relationship with my family that I wasn’t aware of and how they were affecting me and then trying to minimise the affect they have on me. I am very grateful for you help and only wish I had found your sooner. - VG

Work burnout
I can’t believe it’s been a year and do recognise the difference in myself from where I was then to where I am now. I look back and can’t believe at times how bad I was and so know that I am not like that any more. I like that you are straight to the point with what you have to say or your observations and although it may sting a bit or be a truth that I don’t want to acknowledge, I do appreciate this. - AC

What is Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy?

EMDR is a psychological therapy for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. EMDR facilitates the accessing and processing of traumatic memories to bring these to an adaptive resolution. After successful treatment with EMDR, emotional distress is relieved, negative beliefs are reformulated, and anxiety is reduced.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing integrates elements of many effective psychotherapies in structured protocols that are designed to maximise treatment effects. The effectiveness of EMDR for PTSD has been demonstrated by research, and EMDR is recommended as an evidence-based procedure by the British Department of Health, among other professional bodies.
