Our requirements
We require all therapists to have over three years of post-qualification clinical experience, along with one of the following professional accreditations:
BABCP CBT Accreditation
BPS Chartership (with HCPC registration for protected titles)
BACP Accreditation
UKCP Accreditation
How to register with My Therapist Online
To begin your registration, please complete the online registration form using the button below, and email us copies of the following documents to hello@mytherapistonline.co.uk:
① Professional training certificates (e.g. BABCP accreditation, full or provisional)
② Proof of professional body registration and membership number (BABCP / BPS with HCPC / BACP / UKCP)
③ Enhanced DBS certificate (dated within the last two years)
④ Professional indemnity insurance certificate (minimum coverage £5 million)
⑤ Photo ID — passport or photo driving licence (scanned or photographed)
⑥ Professional profile photo — plain backdrop, current likeness, high resolution, no selfies
⑦ Wording for your profile page — please use other therapist profiles on our website as a guide

What happens next — your onboarding steps
Once we've received your registration, here is what the onboarding process looks like. We ask for a number of things to ensure we have a clear clinical picture of your skills and experience, and everything we need to create your profile and set you up on our systems.

Your onboarding journey at a glance
① Submit your registration form
Complete the online registration form and email supporting documents to hello@mytherapistonline.co.uk — certificates, DBS, insurance, ID, and a professional profile photo.
② Record your video introduction
A short 60–90 second welcome video filmed in your therapy space. This is an essential part of your registration — it helps clients get a sense of you before they commit.
③ Clinical references checked
We contact your two clinical references directly. Your application is reviewed once both references are received and your video has been submitted.
④ Complete profile setup forms
We'll send you links to complete your skills & experience grid, set your availability, and provide wording for your profile page.
⑤ Profile published & referrals begin
Once everything is in place, your profile goes live and we begin matching you with suitable clients based on your expertise, availability, and preferences.
