Lorena is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist at My Therapist Online, offering compassionate and evidence-based online therapy for adults. She brings a warm, thoughtful and collaborative approach to her work, supporting individuals through a wide range of mental health and life challenges. Lorena is committed to creating a safe, respectful and empowering therapeutic space, where clients feel understood and supported to make meaningful and lasting change.
She holds a BSc in Neuroscience, an MSc in Psychology of Mental Health, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Lorena has worked across the NHS, charitable organisations and private settings, gaining extensive experience with complex and varied presentations. Her clinical work spans depression, anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders, bereavement, self-esteem, workplace stress, identity and relationship difficulties, as well as the psychological impact of physical health conditions, including cancer.
Alongside her therapy work, Lorena is the Clinical Lead for Support and Safeguarding at the UK Covid-19 Inquiry, where she provides expert guidance on trauma-informed practice and leads psychological strategy, consultation and supervision. Her therapeutic style is integrative and tailored to each individual, drawing on approaches such as CBT, ACT, CFT, mindfulness, systemic and psychodynamic models. Lorena works collaboratively with clients, helping them build insight, resilience and hope as they navigate challenges and move towards a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.

It is a standardised assessment tool used by trained clinicians to help assess and diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ADOS involves a series of structured and semi-structured activities that allow the clinician to observe social interaction, communication, play, and restricted or repetitive behaviours.
ADOS is not a therapy itself. It is part of a diagnostic assessment, often used alongside developmental history, questionnaires, and clinical interviews, and can be used with children, adolescents, and adults.
