Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT)

Pronouns - She/Her

I'm a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT), specialising in the treatment of anxiety and depression problems.

Therapy can be a daunting process, not knowing where to start, not knowing what therapist is right for you, and not knowing exactly what you need. A non-judgmental, compassionate, empathic space, to talk about the things that are currently challenging you at present, might be a good place to start.

Therapy is about guiding you through life's most difficult moments, past and present in a safe and conducive space. If you are struggling as an individual or as a couple, I can provide appropriate support.

You're not alone and well done for taking such a courageous step. I offer support for the following: Low self-esteem, Anxiety, Depression, Burnout, Stress, OCD, PTSD, Trauma, Heath Anxiety, Worrying, Panic Disorder, Phobias, Emetophobia, Skin Picking, culturally sensitive therapy, Couple Therapy, Relational issues Etc. Going through a hard time is never your fault or something you should suffer with alone, I am here to support you.

I have specific interests in Depression, Low self-esteem, Trauma, Couple Therapy and Anxiety.

I am an accredited BABCP therapist and have over 10 years experience of working in the NHS and private sector. What is CBT?

CBT is an evidence-based treatment that has been shown to be very effective at helping people with a wide range of issues including anxiety and depression. It is based on the idea that your thoughts, feelings and actions are interconnected and focuses on changing your thoughts and actions to change how you feel.

If we worked together, we would use CBT to find ways of gaining clarity about your current problems and find new ways of managing difficulties to improve aspects of your life. The process is always collaborative and I work very flexibly, adapting the therapy to suit you and what you would like to achieve.

I am a fully accredited CBT therapist and have worked in both private and public services using CBT. I have supervised other CBT therapists in the NHS and have a special interest in trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD having worked in trauma services for over six years.
