Dr Lorena Tussis is a Clinical Psychologist with a background in neuroscience and over a decade of experience across the NHS, charitable organisations and private practice. She holds a BSc in Neuroscience, an MSc in Psychology of Mental Health, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology — and currently serves as Clinical Lead for Support and Safeguarding at the UK Covid-19 Inquiry, where she leads psychological strategy, consultation and supervision, and provides expert guidance on trauma-informed practice.
Her clinical work is broad and complex, spanning anxiety, depression and mood disorders, eating disorders, bereavement, self-esteem, workplace stress, identity and relationship difficulties, and the psychological impact of physical health conditions — including specialist work in health psychology and psycho-oncology, making her one of very few therapists equipped to support clients navigating serious illness alongside its emotional and psychological toll.
Lorena brings a warm, thoughtful and collaborative approach to therapy, and is deeply committed to creating a space that feels safe, respectful and genuinely empowering. Her style is integrative and tailored to each individual, drawing on CBT, ACT, CFT, mindfulness, systemic and psychodynamic models — always working with clients rather than prescribing to them, helping build insight, resilience and hope as they move towards a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.

Training in Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - complete from February
It is a standardised assessment tool used by trained clinicians to help assess and diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ADOS involves a series of structured and semi-structured activities that allow the clinician to observe social interaction, communication, play, and restricted or repetitive behaviours.
ADOS is not a therapy itself. It is part of a diagnostic assessment, often used alongside developmental history, questionnaires, and clinical interviews, and can be used with children, adolescents, and adults.
