Pronouns: She/Her

Ana Wright is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience helping people navigate loss, long-term health challenges, and overwhelming life transitions.

Ana specialises in grief and bereavement therapy, including support for Prolonged Grief Disorder, as well as health anxiety, chronic pain, and adjustment to physical health conditions. She also offers tailored therapy for those experiencing mild cognitive difficulties, such as memory or attention changes, often linked to ageing or health conditions.

Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Therapy with Ana is always tailored to you — helping you make sense of what you’re going through, reconnect with what matters most, and move forward at a pace that feels manageable.

Alongside her private work, Ana continues to practise within the NHS, ensuring her work remains current, clinically grounded, and aligned with the latest research in mental health and health psychology.

“Do you feel that life has changed in ways you cannot control, leaving you stuck and unable to move forward? You may have lost a loved one, be adjusting to physical health changes, or living with chronic pain. I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist specialising in grief and bereavement (including Prolonged Grief Disorder), adjustment to physical health conditions, and chronic pain. I can also offer tailored support if you are experiencing mild memory or attentional difficulties (such as in Mild Cognitive Impairment). I have 15 years of experience in mental health practice and research, and currently also hold a part-time NHS post.

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I draw from a range of approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), systemic, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Together, we will find a way forward that aligns with your values and goals.”
