I am an experienced Counselling Psychologist with more than 15 years of experience working within NHS and private sectors. I am registered with HPCP (PYL24310) and BPS (135296) and I am trained in several therapeutic approaches.
I have previously worked as a Senior Psychologist within a Forensic Setting working for the National Health Service in a medium secure environment for Kent Forensic Psychiatry Service where I would undertake psychological assessments and treatments for both mentally disordered offenders and non-mentally disordered offenders. I am also trained to undertake a range of psychometric testing including cognitive assessments. My past experience includes working within a Youth Offender Institute (YOI Rochester) and HMP Maidstone and Elmley.
In my private practice, my work involves assessment and treatment of adults, adolescents and children presenting with a wide range of mental health disorders, such as: anxiety disorders and phobias, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, addiction and personality disorders. I mainly use Schema Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I am also a registered Expert Witness. I undertake on average 15 instructions per year within private practice and further instructions within the context of NHS.
I specialise both in assessments of adults and children in the context of Family Proceedings and Private Law disputes along with Forensic Issues (specialised risk assessment, parole board reports, pre-sentencing reports, Psychopathy assessments). I also undertake Personal Injury work.
